Fighter pilots frequently seeing unidentified flying objects (UFOs) are already an “open secret” within the military, according to a whistleblower.
Three high-ranking military veterans testified under oath about their initial knowledge regarding UFOs and other unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) during a July 26 hearing convened by the House Oversight Committee (HOC).
One whistleblower, Navy Lt. Ryan Graves, attested that his squadron frequently discovered unidentified craft while they were stationed off the coast of Virginia in 2014. While most of the craft were identified on radar, they were also seen by pilots “occasionally up close” with their own eyes. Graves said these became so ordinary that “over time, UAP sightings became an open secret among our aircrew.”
The erstwhile Navy fighter pilot also recounted one close-call encounter with a UFO. Two jets were forced to veer out of the way to avoid slamming into an object that resembles a “dark gray cube inside of a clear sphere,” which stood “motionless against the wind.” (Related: F-18 fighter plane captures stunning UFO on video… government admits UFO research is real.)
Aside from Graves, Navy Cmdr. David Fravor and Air Force veteran David Grusch also testified before lawmakers. Fravor was a witness to the 2004 USS Nimitz Tic Tac UFO incident, while Grusch made headlines for revealing an illegal UFO crash retrieval program run by the U.S. government.
Grusch said he learned about the program through people who were working on it. The program was allegedly part of a top-secret “80-year arms race” involving America and other nations to weaponize the wrecked UFOs. He remarked: “The existence of complex historical programs involving the coordinated retrieval and study of exotic materials, dating back to the early 20th century, should no longer remain a secret.”
“The [Department of Defense] and Washington bureaucrats have kept this information hidden for decades, and we’re finally going to shed some light on it,” said Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN), a member of the HOC. “We’re bringing in credible witnesses who can provide public testimony because the American people deserve the truth. We’re done with the cover-ups.”
According to Burchett, the HOC’s hearing on UFOs has been actively undermined by the Defense Department and the U.S. Intelligence Community’s efforts to “continuously block things.” He nevertheless remarked: “It’s gonna be the biggest show in town, though,”
The Tennessee congressman earlier remarked during an appearance on the “Event Horizon” podcast:
“We’ve been dealing [with government cover-ups] since 1947, probably since about 1897 in what was the Aurora Texas UFO crash.”
“[Extraterrestrial craft] can travel light years or at the speeds that we’ve seen defy physics as we know it. They can fly underwater and don’t show a heat trail,” he added. According to Burchett, the aliens could simply turn humans “into a charcoal briquette” if they wanted to, given their technology that is different from what humans known on Earth.
“We are out of our league. We couldn’t fight them off if we wanted to. That’s why I don’t think they’re a threat to us, or they would already have been,” the congressman added.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), Burchett’s colleague in the HOC, remarked: “The status quo on the part of the US government has been to leave the American public in the dark regarding information about UAPs; refuse to answer questions posed by whistleblowers; avoid the concerns Americans have about the possible threats UAPs pose to our national security and public safety; and default to extreme and unnecessary over-classification.
